Visit of Frequentis AG
In April 2026 we visited FREQUENTIS AG, a global supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks.
We were welcomed by the Director of Sales, Christoph Götze, New Business Development Manager Nikolaus Holzinger and several experts of different departments of FREQUENTIS, who gave an extensive and excellent insight in the various production activities of the company.

FREQUENTIS manages 13 global sales regions in
50 countries out of Austria and is leading in Command Control Center solutions.
The company comprises a staff of 2.500 mainly IT oriented employees, out of
them 1.100 in its headquarter in Vienna. FREQUENTIS’ products, services,
and solutions are used in around 150 countries.
The listed family company
develops and markets its “control centre solutions” in the Air Traffic
Management segment (civil and military air traffic control, air
defence) and the Public Safety & Transport segment
(police, fire brigades, emergency rescue services, railways, coastguards, port
authorities).
With a market share of 30%,
FREQUENTIS is the world market leader in voice communication systems
for air traffic control. FREQUENTIS is also the global leader
in aeronautical information management and aeronautical message handling
systems. Another area is railway infrastructure, managing trains
communication, safe incident management, relevant railway supply. Concerning
autonomous driving FREQUENTIS offers control centers.
Systems relevant for military
use are of increasing importance. Among the many customers there are Defense
departments, navy and airforce in many countries from USA and Great Britain all
the way to Australia and New Zealand. It includes drone management, drones
detection, remote digital tower systems. Especially in this field threats are
changing very fast and FREQUENTIS offers solutions. The company is among its
many initiatives partner in the Singel European Sky.
Wherever Frequentis’
systems are used, safety-critical operators bear responsibility for the safety
of other people and goods. The company also works towards a more sustainable
future through its air traffic optimization solutions. The good business
development in 2025 enabled revenues to rise to around EUR 580 million (2024:
480.3 million) according to the preliminary figures. EBIT rose to around EUR 47
million according to preliminary figures (2024: 32.1 million), due to the
overall profitable project execution.
The presentations were
followed by a Q&A session and individual discussions over refreshments and
snacks.
