October 2011: CdH Visits the Headquarters of Gabriel Chemie Group in Gumpoldskirchen

Marketing & Sales Director Andreas Hinterberger gave a company presentation and then took the trade delegates on a 1 hour guided tour through the masterbatch-production facility and also showed them the modern R&D Laboratory.                                               

Gabriel Chemie Group is specialised in the colouring and refining of plastics. The Company was founded in 1950 and is today one of the leading masterbatch producers in Europe. The independent, privately owned group has its headquarters in Gumpoldskirchen,Austria, and subsidiaries in Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Russia. An annual group turnover of currently around  87.5 million Euros is achieved with 467 employees.

Products:

The Gabriel Chemie Group's product portfolio is based on two product brands:
* MAXITHEN® - a product line based on polymer specific carrier materials.
* UNIMAX® - a product line based on universal carrier formulations.

Sites:

Gabriel-Chemie currently has six production sites, which enable a fast and flexible response to the requirements and wishes of the customers.  Colour and additive masterbatches are produced at the headquarters in Gumpoldskirchen near Vienna and in the production sites in Great Britain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Russia. Further locations for the production of additive and colour masterbatches are planned. 75% of Gabriel-Chemie's annual production is designated for the European market.

Research & Development:

The Gabriel Chemie Group's locations are networked and have access to a constantly growing database containing thousand of formulations. Many customer requests can therefore be responded to immediately.  Research and Development at Gabriel Chemie is an ISO-9001 certified process. The R&D  involves interaction with both international customers and suppliers as well as private and governmental organisations.
