Visit to the Technology Centre Seestadt of the Vienna Business Agency
The Vienna Business Agency invited us on 27 November 2025 to a presentation of its Technology Centre Seestadt in Seestadt, a new city area of the 22nd district of Vienna.
We were welcomed by Jan Riepl, International Business Team Leader, Gerald Spennadel, Real Estate and Camilla Munksgaard of the Technology Centre Seestadt, who offered us a presentation of the current activities and commercial tenants as well as the history of the development of the Centre.
The TZ3 Technology Centre Seestadt is a sustainable innovation hub designed for forward-thinking companies. It provides energy-efficient infrastructure and a collaborative environment for startups, scale-ups, R&D teams, and tech leaders. The building is a low-energy facility certified with the ÖGNB Gold standard. It features CO₂-controlled ventilation with heat recovery and energy-efficient concrete core activation within a highly insulated structure. An optimized façade design maximizes daylight use and reduces energy demand through external sun protection. Energy is supplied from renewable sources such asgroundwater, heat pumps, and photovoltaic systems.
Co-owner Mr. Werner Meisinger showed us around and informed us about the current situation of the chocolate market as well as the worldwide cocoa market. He emphsized that he had since years the same reliable West African suppliers. Xocolat is well known by the quality and veriety of its products, which are sold in its own outlets in Vienna and some more branches in other cities of Austria.
